The strongest real-world signal comes from the US Drug-Induced Liver Injury Network (DILIN). Reviewing 1,418 patients enrolled between 2004 and 2018, investigators identified 22 high-confidence cases of liver injury attributable to garcinia, alone or, far more commonly, combined with green tea.
